Holiday Hair Tips
by Myesha Smith
Holiday season is officially here! For me, holiday season equals party season! During the holidays your family members, coworkers and friends are constantly inviting you to dinner parties, and if you want to jazz up that twist out that you’ve worn 2 parties in a row we’ve got some tips below for you.
Jeweled Hair Accessories
Holidays are all about sparkle so you can add some spice to your look simply by picking up some fancy looking hair accessories. My go tos are always gold bobby pins (they come in rose gold too), loc jewelry (if your local hair store doesn’t have them, Amazon and etsy have tons of retailers), or this gold headband from Claire’s Boutique. Claire’s is definitely the spot for affordable hair accessories... if you’re willing to dig through the Justin Bieber merch and questionable makeup. Adding a little sparkle upgrades any look with minimal effort.
Braids
Braids are a quick and easy way to keep your hair cute and protected! I usually braid the sides of my hair and leave the top out kind of like a braided mohawk but you can do whatever your skill set allows!
Ponytails
Whether it’s a basic puff, side pony, or a complicated chignon you’ve learned from your favorite youtuber, ponytails add a lot of oomph to any look and can stretch any wash week style! So take your old wash and go, and grab a scrunchie (basic or extra it’s all up to you) and transform your week old hair into an elegant ‘do.
Now that you have some inspirations for your next holiday party look, don’t forget to style with Precious Tresses (use my code Myesha20 for 20% off your order) and your favorite edge control! Post pictures of you rocking your festive do’s and share in the Hair Growth Challenge group.
