Essential oils are where all the magic happens! For thousands of years, people have been using essential oils for a range of things like natural medicinal treatments, beauty regimens, and my personal favorite aromatherapy. Essential oils are extracted from plants through steam distillation. Freshly picked plants are suspended over boiling water, and the steam pulls the oils out of the plant. What’s left are the extremely concentrated beauty secrets that we all know and love. Below you’ll hopefully discover new essential oils, get reacquainted with some of your favorites, and maybe add them to your hair care routine!

Adrienne’s Pick: Lavender, Peppermint, and Cinnamon
Myesha’s Pick: Rosemary, Tea Tree, Red Pimento, and Peppermint.
